Boone Meadow Elementary is a 2020 recipient of the National Blue Ribbon Schools award!
Boone Meadow Elementary School (BME) is one of only eight schools in Indiana to join 387 schools nationwide to be recognized by U.S. Secretary of Education Betsy DeVos as one of the National Blue Ribbon Schools for 2020. The recognition is based on a school’s overall academic performance or progress in closing achievement gaps among student subgroups. “It is an honor for BME to be selected as a National Blue Ribbon School,” said Principal Tom Hundley. “This is a reflection of the hard work and efforts of the many teachers, students, families and our entire Eagle community who pour themselves into making Boone Meadow Elementary School a special place to learn and grow.” He continued, “We strive to create a warm and nurturing environment where everyone belongs. I am humbled that BME has been selected to join the best schools in the nation in receiving this award.”
